With a career that began at 17, Darryn Lyon’s first job was with Geelong newspaper as a photographer; here, he became the first local photographer to win the national Press awards title of ‘Best Cadet.’

He established his first business in 1992 in his flat in North London and called it Big Pictures. He grew the business from £300,000 to £1,000,00 within his first year of operating the business full-time. He grew Big Pictures internationally, opening offices in New York, Sydney, and Los Angeles, building an impressive portfolio of property around the globe.
Darryn’s hard work, determination, and resilience earned him a spot on the Young Rich List from Business Review Weekly in 2004, and he has only continued to grow his professional prowess in the years since. He has created a range of successful brands, which include car companies, UK Night clubs, television production, and clothing labels, just to name a few.

In the years since, Darryn has grown the Lyons Gallery into 10 locations spread across Australia, including the flagship gallery in Darlinghurst, Sydney. It is now recognized as one of the most widely spread and influential art galleries across Australia, featuring never before seen visual and audio installations.

Earning recognition as the Gallery to the Stars, the Lyons Gallery primarily specialises in celebrity photography by collected and prestigious photographers.
